Over a year and a half with no news? Not quite. A few of the highlights.
In June I will be speaking at the Scotch on the Rocks web developer conference in Edinburgh. More details.
I'm a digital artist, creating images from photos and 3D renders.
I'm a proponent of Open Source software development.
I'm a big fan of regex; one of the most under-used and mis-used tools programmers have.
I'm passionate about freedom, in all forms.
Freedom is allowing everyone to be themselves, to the fullest extent possible; it is not being required to submit to another's will; and not having artificial restrictions on what you can and can't do. It means being able to communicate and collaborate with each other, free from obstruction and censorship.
Everyone should have freedom, but we seem to be stuck in a world where too many people are naively and wilfully discarding freedom, allowing civil liberties to be taken away, and letting themselves be inhibited and directed solely for the benefit of others.
